    Summary:  Provides administrative support for senior management and

    department staff as required.  Creates, processes and proofreads
    various reports and correspondences, answer phones, schedules
    calendar meetings, makes travel arrangements, handles mail and
    faxes, and maintains files/records for the department. 


    Reports to:  Executive Director or assigned staff

    Supervises:  NA


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Provides administrative support to the department including word processing, excel and reports.
    • Administers select on-going programs and/or special projects as assigned by the department.
    • Maintains assigned department and program records, files and databases.
    • Coordinates department reports and presentations as needed.
    • Answer phone, respond to inquiries, route calls and take detailed messages.
    • Facilitate and coordinate meetings including conference room, catering, audio/video requirements.
    • Processes expense reports and liaison with other departments
    • Maintains department calendar
    • Coordinate domestic travel arrangements for staff including hotel and ground transportation.
    • Meets and greets visitors as necessary.
    • Review and prioritize departmental mail, faxes, copies and coordinate overnight package services
    • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.


    Education & Experience Requirements: 

    • High School diploma, College degree preferred
    • 1-2 years administrative experience 

    Position Requirements: 

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including email, calendar and contacts
    • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written
    • Ability to work well with all levels of staff, management, vendor, BOD etc
    • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
    • Knowledge of standard business machines and computer software
    • Professional with sound judgment
